Metal Marking is One of CA Laser's Main Specialties

Custom laser etched items on granite, glass, wood and other permanent surfaces are among the most coveted gifts and awards for corporate or personal purposes. Company logos, photographs or other special images can be placed on these items, which will be on display and in the collections of your clients, customers or friends forever. View our Laser Etcing on Metal resource page for additional information on Metal Marking

Farsight Metal Marking
Using a laser to mark permanently on metal is a very cost-effective way to place logos, parts numbers or other information on metal parts. With some alloys a coating is applied and then lasered into the metal creating a durable bond of great clarity and detail.

Mirror Signage

Mirror is a very exciting medium. For this job, the image of Muhammad Ali was etched into the back of the mirror, removing the silvering, and allowing light to travel through the mirror. In this private gymnasium, a light source was placed behind the mirror wall and the image illuminated. This is a very useful medium for retail signage.

California Laser Etch Completes New Airport Project!!

One of our more ambitious projects, this landmark water feature comprises 7 granite slabs, each 4’ x 8’ at over 400 pounds, and greets arriving and departing passengers at San Bernardino International Airport, recently dedicated on the site of the former Norton Air Force Base. A quotation from a local dignitary is combined with a graphic representation of a squadron of three C-141 aircraft, the primary plane that operated at the Base before its closure. Our team created the graphic by photographing a parked C-141 from several angles using a large-format (8” x 10”) camera, then combining the images to simulate 3 separate aircraft with the quotation across the 28’ width of the water feature. Our team trucked the completed slabs to San Bernardino and handled the installation as well.

California Laser Etch Offers New Services!

California Laser Etch is Primarily an Architectural Signage Company. We permanently laser etch photographic quality images into a variety of architectural materials. We deal primarily in Natural Stones (granite, marble, limestone) and glass, but also work with plastics, acrylics, leather, metal and wood.

We specialize in taking a print-quality image at 300 dpi and using lasers, etch that image permanently into the surface of your choice. This image is created from a graphic or raster image and as such, the quality of the image is better than any other option available on the market. If image quality on your project is crucial, have us make a sample for you to consider. California Laser Etch creates the most beautiful custom laser engraved signage on the market at a price you can afford.

Our staff is available for graphic design services.

We sub-specialize in the sourcing and fabrication of materials for projects. We are experts in exotic granites and high-tech glass. Our sources are local and having us source the material can significantly reduce shipping expenses. We do not do any installation, but can refer you to a number of professionals in your area.

We have won multiple awards for our work: architectural signs, laser photo engraving glass window panels, donor walls, stone floors, metal and wooden signs, award and plaque engravings, etched mirrors, etc.

Donor Recognition Walls

Donor walls (or other types of panels, plaques or plazas) are perhaps the most effective and prominent way to recognize the generosity of the benefactors of a non-profit organization. Such displays are very popular in hospitals, private and public schools, community organizations, parks, veterans groups and many other non-profits.

These displays can be designed so as to organize donor names by the level of the gift, using unique names for the different levels or simply the range of the gift for each section. The organization’s logo, mission statement, a drawing or photo of its headquarters, date of organization and other pertinent data can be included in the design.

Some of the more popular materials for use in donor recognition displays include:

  • Granite, either in slab or tile form: durable, elegant; easy to add on to if in tile form, can be used as flooring on a plaza.
  • Glass, in multiple panels: very contemporary, clean appearance.
  • Ceramic tile: a more informal look, exterior varieties are available.
  • Plastics: easy to install with double-sided tape, easiest to add names to.

Laser etching is a very effective method for creating donor recognition displays in each of these media. Using tiles or smaller pieces enables the organization to remove a small section and have new donor names added at appropriate intervals.
